We are the new owners of With the Grain and we can't wait to meet you. The With The Grain torch was handed to us by founder, Sheri Bishop, when we purchased the bakery back in April of 2020. It has been a big and exciting year for us, full of many ups and a couple of downs.
I (Erin) have been hard at work in the bakery, learning everything about With the Grain’s heritage recipes, while adding a few new recipes and working on passion projects of my own. Alongside me labours our amazing team of bakers and front counter staff.
I am a career restaurateur and have always had a passion for good food. I believe in the fine details, and in paying attention to the nuances of flavour. I love to put together recipes that create food addictions (no apologies) for my patrons. Throughout my career, customer care and quality service has always been top priority for me. One of the reasons I chose hospitality as a field is that it allows me to work closely with people and I get to offer experiences that put smiles on peoples' faces. Good food is a foundational part of so many great memories and it's such an honour when our products get to be part of those experiences.
Cake Love & Custom Sugar Flowers
In 2013 I took time off from my career to stay at home with my two children, and during that time I re-discovered a passion I had for baking and making custom cakes. I also discovered sugar art and have been perfecting a wide array of realistic looking sugar flowers. As such we have added a new line of cakes to our list of product offerings; they are a beautiful and delicious addition to any special occasion.

Lost Aviator Coffee
My husband Adam has had a successful career as an airline pilot however, due to the pandemic, he was grounded just as we were taking possession of the bakery. Because of this, he and another pilot/friend started up The Lost Aviator Coffee Company in the basement of With the Grain. When life hands you lemons, I guess for Adam, he makes coffee.
