In our second staff Black Box Challenge employees got a chance to show off their culinary skills. Each team of two received different main ingredients and access to all of the spices and pantry items in WtG’s kitchen. They had five minutes to access their ingredients and then one hour to create their dish. Click on the picture above to see some of the exciting dishes they created.

April 22nd is Earth Day! To contribute to this very worthy cause, With the Grain will be giving free coffee and tea all day to anyone who brings a travel mug. Another tasty way to help is to purchase a Planet Earth shortbread cookie! For every one of these sweet little treats sold, With the Grain will donate one dollar to the David Suzuki Foundation.
The best way to show your love for the earth is to keep the principles of Earth Day in mind every day of the year… you can make a big change or a little one; remember, every positive action helps! To start now, here are some ideas that might help you get going…
to change your carbon footprint

or green your diet

or improve your home’s efficiency

or even one of the simplest, most effective actions: planting a tree. You can do it right here in Guelph!
