October is
Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Dear Guests,
The fight against breast cancer continues year round.
However, October is a special month for the cause, dedicated to the raising of awareness and funds for the cure.
At With the Grain, last year’s weekend-long event for the cause was a great success, thanks in large part to the generosity of our guests. We also did ribbon sales, tip donations, and Wear Pink Day within the staff body. The BCSC was very grateful.
That event raised $793.03 in ten short days.
This year, our event runs through the last half of October.
If you wish to give, you may use our cash donation jar, buy a ribbon, or make a cheque (payable to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada), and we will give you a tax receipt. Also, 10% of the sale of anything pink – the Breakfast Classic Smoothie, the Luscious Cinnamon Steamer, pink flower arrangements, and pink cupcakes – will be given by With the Grain to the BCSC.
With the Grain has kicked off the donations this year with a $300.00 gift to the cause.
I would love to see us triple that amount!
