Saturday the 25th was a great day for Jaye and for coffee lovers here at WtG, we donated all of our in-house coffee sales for the day which totaled just over $140, and Jay also collected over $230 in donations while he was here on his bike trainer.  Thanks to everyone who donated!  If you still wanted to donate, or would like more information about this great event check out the links below.

Here are some pictures from the Great Local Food Chef-Off!  Congratulations to Katie and Shannon for winning! Guests enjoyed eight dishes prepared by some of the area’s best chefs using ingredients from local farms. Big thanks to Guelph’s Appetizingly Yours for their hard work organizing the event. Over $75,000 was raised to support the Sunrise Equestrian Centre!

On Sunday June 26th we will be participating in the Great Local Food Chef-Off to help raise funds to support the Sunrise Therapeutic Riding and Learning Centre.  Katie and Shannon will be competing, and Andrea and Sheri will making a dessert for the event. We’re busy getting ready for the Alton Mill’s 3rd annual Cuisine-Art event!  With the Grain’s Shannon Fitzgerald will be doing a BBQ demonstration on Sunday July 17th, and Shaw’s Creek Café will be making picnic boxes for the Humber River Shakespeare Company’s outdoor performances of The Comedy of Errors on Friday July 15th and Saturday July 16th.  You can see all of the activities and events planned so far at the Alton Mill’s website.
